These are screen dumps of IRC in various browsers.‎

problem description:‎

  • I did not use an UTF-8 nicknames; I used valid ones; IRC worked for me with latin nicknames on Firefox; the problem is the rendering in Konqueror, Oprea and MS IE where the input fields "where gone";

Help is needed at IRC in order to fix this.‎

Here the configuration I have used so far:

  • a) Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070427 Firefox/2.0.0.3 on Linux KDE 3.5.5‎
  • b) Opera see configuration at http://test.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:I18n/Opera
  • c) Konqueror 3.5.5 (Using KDE 3.5.5)‎
  • all on KDE version 3.5.5; System: Linux; Release: 2.6.22-gentoo-r2; Machine: i686‎
  • d) MS IE Version: 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.070227-2254‎

workaround

Please make a screen dump of the form as you can see it in Firefox. I hope you can see it ;-)

Please add a description how to access #wikimania starting from chatwikizine.memebot.com.
I would be happy if you add the decription at wikiHow. Their « How to ... » pages are quite good.
